BlueGuard LEDS® for Sports Applications
BlueGuard LEDS® provides innovative antibacterial/anti-viral applications for sports facilities and equipment. Applications can be used in workout rooms, locker rooms, laundry rooms, etc. and for sanitizing a wide range of equipment, such as, footballs, baseballs, basketballs, bats, gloves, etc. Unlike UV-C, these applications are safe for people and all materials, such as leather, synthetic or natural covers, and have no residual chemicals that remain on the surface of the item sanitized as liquid sanitizers do.
BlueGuard’s Blue Light performs just like UV-C, but unlike UV-C, is safe for humans and animals, will not degrade natural or synthetic materials and has over 4 times the life of UV-C lights. In addition, its antimicrobial effects are fast and effective.

Applications can be used in facilities to protect against pathogenic bacteria such as MRSA, Staph, Listeria and viruses including COVID-19. BlueGuard LEDS® are designed to disinfect the air and surfaces of indoor environments such as floors, desks, tables, clothes, curtains, blinds, etc. that are present within the area. There is no requirement for user involvement and the killing of pathogens is continuous. This light is complementary to existing prevention and control methods such as hand washes, wipes and disinfectants, and also tackles the unresolved problem of environmental transmission of micro-organisms.
Additionally, applications can used be in small areas, such as, sports equipment cases and can be customized to meet a wide range of uses. Sample Applications: Sports equipment cases to sanitize footballs, dugout cases for baseballs/softballs, cases for volleyballs, basketballs, etc. Applications can be designed for sanitizing other equipment as well, such as, bats, gloves, shoulder pads, etc.
